CROSSIP CONVOS - ODHRÁN MULLAN
CROSSIP was born in a bar, not a boardroom, and it's about time our mates in the on-trade industry had an opportunity to share their stories of how they began their journey in this crazy and beautiful hospitality world and what being unapologetically bold means to them.
Next on the lineup, we have ODHRÁN MULLAN, a true Islington legend!
What’s your name?
My name is Odhrán Mullan.
Where do you work?
I work at Homeboy in Islington.
How’d you get into bartending?
Agh, sure! I just started off in a little old man pub back home in Donegal. Moved to Belfast and seen a bigger picture of bartending and just got fascinated with how far I could go with this job.
Your best bartending story?
God, I laugh an awful lot with this job. The people I meet and the craic I have with the team - not one solo story comes right to mind.
Favourite bar in the world?
Schofield’s Manchester.
Favourite way to drink CROSSIP?
The CROSSIP Fresh Citrus in a Paloma style drink , delightful. Wee splash of bitter Italian liqueur if it’s the weekend.
What’s your go-to cocktail when drinking at home?
Usually I have a bottle of batched wet martinis going on in the freezer.
What does UNAPOLOGETICALLY BOLD mean to you?
Not being sorry for being me or doing something I love, even if it’s not particularly pleasing for others.
